Surprisingly this only took me 7 minutes long then going down even though there is twice as much climbing .. Who knows, maybe I was warmed up or I just wanted to get home.
Check out the Map at Sportstracker. Still need to upload HR data too !

Got out today after a fairly slack couple of days. Dragged the Mountain Bike out and headed off from the lodge at Mount Hotham down to Dinner Plain. The trail is used for Cross Country Skiing in winter and I’m not too sure it’s meant to be a mountain bike trail but a lot of it is also used as a 4WD track for the rangers, etc. Anyway, it’s a very nice ride, ( ski too ) mainly downhill but actually a fair bit of climbing too, including some pretty steep bits. The trail is smooth gravel in a few parts but mostly grass covered with lots of hidden rocks so it’s a pretty bump ride.

The weather was great with a bit of cloud for some shade but mostly sunny and not too warm. Biggest problem was the flies though I didn’t really notice them until the way back. I took some photos along the route which you can see over at Sportstracker, along with the GPS route track and all the stats.
I did the return as a separate run, as I stopped for a play with the kids at the playground ( and an ice-cream ! ) so check out the details in a separate post.
