iPod dock for on the bike
28 06 2007For all you people getting a bit too bored but hopefully don’t go with the headphones on your bike.
Check out this interesting iPod dock,
apart from Brad having to blast the Burke-Gillman with some “tasteful” music from his younger days, it could make for an interesting ride.
Hmmm… What tunes would suit people best while on their bike? Here’s my guess:
- Jeff: “Listen Like Theives” by INXS (lock up your Forerunner)
- Brad: “Small Fry” by Adrian Rollini (you have to listen to it to really appreciate it)
- Dion: “Down Under” by Men at Work (the karaoke version - how could I not resist?)

Dion, do you actually use this doc? I want one for a Sanza/Rhapsody portable! Saw a thing on the news a few nights ago. Some runner got fried by his Ipod in an electrical storm. The charge travelled up the headphone wires, burning him along the way, threw his jaw out & then blew out his ear drums. Yuck! So, maybe we move back to the days of the boom box — smaller portability, but loud shared music. My favorite from bus riding days in High School/Jr High — “Another One Bites the Dust” followed, of course by, “Another One Rides the Bus”. (Not my choices, but daily, repeated playing has branded this into my memory.)
No, haven’t used it .. I think you are way more likely to get collected by a car with your headphones in then bother worrying about a lightning strike !
Maybe I should delete the post to keep our ride routes quite and questionable music free, though I guess it’s just another good incentive to drop someone !
