Big update today - June data !
16 06 2007Finally got the heart rate monitor uploaded and then typed everything across. Being a mac guy makes it a touch harder as I can’t get the IR reader to work in Parallels so I have to reboot into Windows (Yuk!) and then upload from the watch. Once the data’s in it’s back to OS-X (ahh!) and then pop open the Polar software in parallels and start to enter it in Safari. Simple, really !
Can’t wait till uploads of data are going, no sleep for Jeff and Brad ! Actually, wasn’t too bad to enter it all in, good system guys !
Cool! Looks like you entered a ton of data…
Did you enter it into Sweat365 by hand? How many days total did you do? Looks like you did about 10 days with 1-4 activities per day… That’s great!
What version of the polar software are you using? Does it support export into a file of some kind?
Entered by hand, well cut/look and paste/type !
Software is Polar Precision Performance Software, version 4.03.043
There isn’t anything as simple as an export option. There’s a email option that zips together a couple of files. One looks like it’s the heartrate data, the other the general exercise data, that is entered in the program after you upload.
They are pretty simple text files, with header sections in [] and then data below. The sample data looks like HR, distance for sample, Cadance, altitude in the exercise I looked at. I can email or upload you one with an image of the graph if you like.
I would love to see a Mac vs PC commercial outlining what you did above.
Dion, I have version 4.02.035 of that software, so I know what you’re talking about. We have it on our list to eventually build import support for that system. Though we’ll probably implement device import first.
Then again, I guess it might be cool if you could email your workouts to your blog, and then it would auto-post them… Maybe that’s an easier way to do the import. hmmm…. no you got me thinking…
